Senseair

Senseair

Our purpose is to make sense of air

Senseair is a leading global provider of air and gas sensing technology and has its headquarters in Hälsingland, Sweden. The company develops and manufactures sensors that measure air. They produce one million air and gas sensors per year and their sensors are used in work places, schools and other important environments to indicate air quality. They also develop high tech sensors that sense alcohol in cars and as gas alarms.

Senseair aims at least double its workforce here in Hälsingland within the next five years.
As their sensors are used all over the world, the plan is to grow even more on existing markets but mainly to move into the automotive market. They plan to launch products for both alcohol detection and climate in the car. They will also be working with research and development on next generation of miniaturized sensors.

With over 25 years of experience, Senseair has become the centre of excellence in the field of non-dispersive infra-red (NDIR) technology. They develop and produce the smallest and most cost-efficient, high precision, low power sensors for high volume production. Years of product development, design and testing of products close to the technological forefront, has made Senseair a world-leading manufacturer of high-performance air and gas sensing technology. About one third of the Senseair staff are dedicated to research, development and production optimization, always aiming at applying the latest industrially viable technologies on the market into their products.

Senseair’s products are based on NDIR technology. Designing a product is a matter of making optical and mechanical design for the light to move from emitter to detector in an optimized way, to choose components and make electronical schematic and layout for right output and to have firmware made for sensor functions and settings. The company also does a large amount of testing and will do even more standardized testing when moving into the automotive market.

Therefore, Senseair are right now looking for:
development engineers in the optical, mechanical, electronics and firmware areas.

”7 million people die every year due to bad air (according to WHO) – 1 000 of these live in Stockholm. Senseair can’t provide fresh air, but we believe that what we measure can be improved and we need all the good brains we can get out there to help us in this challenge.”
